Incorporating seasonal trends can be difficult, as each trend doesn’t work for each body type. However, don’t fret just yet – Fashionomics is here to help and understands that no body is the same and it is important to dress for your body type. Using outerwear/coats and trousers as the foundation for each outfit, we pulled pieces together for each look that we feel work best keeping in mind that fit and proportion are key. You can read more on Fashionomics’ blog.
We started with a longer robe style coat in a neutral and classic camel that could be worn casually or dressier. Then, we added a longer flared jean because a tall and statuesque woman can carry it off. Denim on denim is a big trend this year so adding a great denim shirt is also an easy piece to use throughout your wardrobe. The sweater on trend in crimson is a great layering piece that breaks up the denim. Adding the high heel leopard bootie brings in popular animal print and is a must-have shoe of the year. A taller figure can pull off the longer coat, higher heel, flare jean and layers. Add the large tote and you are good to go!
Debby’s Tips: It’s ok for the shirt to show below your sweater and adding a great fall lip in berry will help you stand tall!

For this look, we wanted to feature an interesting trouser so we chose plaid with a straight leg. Staying on-trend with gray, we added a simple turtleneck. Loafers are huge this season and charcoal crocodile shoe is a natural and comfortable anchor to this casual look. We wanted a mid-length jacket and loved the pop of red in this quilted Burberry that can be worn practically every day! Carrying a handbag in proportion to your size is easy these days with so many choices and styles. We chose a classic bag in a neutral and trendy gray with a handle that can still go over your shoulder. This is a perfect ensemble for travel.
Debby’s Tips: A red lipstick is always in style and pulls together and brightens your look. Don’t forget to smile!

For the short and sassy gal, we wanted to be aware of style and proportion, being careful to choose items that will not be too overwhelming. Tonal dressing always makes you look taller and smaller prints and fitted shorter jackets usually work best. We wanted a slim dark trouser that looks great with a lady-like pump. Choose a skinny heel and pointed toe for a sleeker look. I love black suede because it always looks expensive even if you are on a budget. We wanted to show a trendy moto jacket and this one in a deep wine is fitted, shorter, elegant and lends a tonal look with the slim dark trouser. Just for fun, we added a feminine blouse in black and white with a very small print to soften the leather jacket. A clutch is a staple this season and the reptile is great looking and a perfect size. It makes a statement without overpowering your look.
Debby’s Tips: Notice you can carefully mix patterns. Smaller prints are easier with a common color scheme. A wine lip adds elegance to this very classy outfit. Strut your stuff.
