We love the pop of personality a hat can add to almost any outfit, and we believe hats can look great on anyone – yes, even YOU!
If you love hats but aren’t sure where to start, Wardrobe Stylist Brittany Noble Newcomb, owner of B. Noble Styled, is here to help.
“Topping off a great outfit with accessories is the key to pulling off the ultimate look,” says Brittany. Any chance I get, I like to add an unexpected element my client wouldn’t normally do alone – and sometimes a hat is just that!”
A Hat for Every Occasion
Move over cowboys – Brittany says hats don’t belong only in the west. Any occasion can be the perfect moment to don a hat. For example:
- The perfect straw number for gardening
- A bucket hat with a bright swimsuit
- A preppy boater hat for sunny New England days
- A rancher when you need to feel Texas chic
- The list goes on and on
The best part? A hat is an accessory that doubles as UV protection and a disguise for a bad hair day, all while showcasing a sophisticated vibe.
Hat Shopping Secrets
Brittany likes to shop for hats while on vacation. Not only is doing so a great way to bring home a piece of local flair, but nothing beats being able to try on in-person.
The downside: Traveling with hats can be a struggle. (Brittany admits to more than once wearing multiple hats through an airport to make sure they make their way safely onto the plane for her trip.)
