Spring is finally here!! Yay!!! I am so excited that there is so much color blooming outside and in the stores. The fashion magazines are full of color and I want to feature a few outfits for spring. I am focusing on skirt lengths this week since I am always asked what lengths are in style each season. Like anything else in the Trends lately it seems like almost anything goes. I always encourage my clients to choose styles that fit their body type, lifestyle and personal taste. Sometimes a shoe will make The Look when wearing a skirt. I think this is especially the case with a mid calf length skirt where a heel or wedge is usually more flattering to your leg.
THE MAXI SKIRT
I love this skirt from Alice and Olivia and can envision wearing it many ways to various occasions from casual to dressy. It has so many of the trendy spice colors in it that you have lots of choices in tops, shoes and accessories. I have paired it with this trusty Gap denim jacket and tank. I have also chosen a statement turquoise necklace to fill in with color near the face. I came across this mustard sandal and just loved the color that complements the skirt. It would be easy to add a flat sandal if you prefer.

THE MIDI SKIRT
This skirt length is more difficult to wear especially if you are not tall because it cuts your leg below the knee. I chose this style because it is long and lean and can be very flattering. I usually prefer some sort of heel with a midi skirt to give your legs some length and it is more flattering. Denim is on trend and can be used as a real neutral.
