Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is such a special place, with the majesty of the Tetons always in sight and the expanse of the West at your fingertips. A few years ago, our family drove across the country for the adventure of a lifetime. We saw South Dakota’s Corn Palace, Mount Rushmore, and the Badlands, but our favorite adventure was a backpacking trip through the Tetons. In the first five minutes of the hike starting at Jenny Lake in Jackson, we saw a small black bear eating grubs out of a stump. I was terrified for the next three days, and the “mountain margarita” that my husband made with powdered lemonade and tequila was the best this picky Texas girl had ever tasted!
Peachy traveled the world and loved a great adventure whether it was rafting, a safari or a hot air balloon ride. Jackson Hole—with its mix of Old West, celebrities who don’t want to stand out and families enjoying adventures—reminds me of Peachy’s fearless spirit. The landscape is stunning, shopping is superb, and the selection of activities is off the charts.
