The Holiday 2016 issue features gift guides, entertaining ideas and festive style…everything you need to help plan your holidays.
I can’t believe that the holidays are already here. It seems like it was just summer!
While the holidays can be stressful, I really love this time of year. I try to work less and spend lots of time with family and friends. Peachy, who loved the holidays, always went all out. Her house would be decorated to the hilt, and menus planned for weeks. She never served just one dessert. It was always a dessert buffet, and I delighted in trying them all! Many times we would have to dress in costume for the theme of the night. As Peachy always said, “Laughter is the best medicine.” (Well, besides “Eat dessert first.”) My sister, cousins and I loved spending the time together with lots of laughter—I treasure those memories. I hope our children feel the same way about the traditions that we have created around the holidays. Our “Christmas Vacation” party is always a hoot.
Food + Entertaining
In this issue our entertaining editor, Tamberlyn Dobrowski, has shared some of her favorite appetizer recipes for the holidays. She catered our holiday party, and it was wonderful. The cauliflower soup is my favorite! We changed up the tablescape to include beautiful mercury glass and lots of white and purple flowers. Add some white pumpkins and you are all set for Thanksgiving.
Gift Guides
We have gift guides galore. There is absolutely something for everyone. Whether you are buying for him, for her, for the trendsetter, for the hostess or for the children in your life, we have you covered with our top gift picks. Don’t miss our stocking stuffers too!
Neiman Marcus Runway Event
As you might have seen, Peachy partnered with Neiman Marcus Dallas and Charlotte for our signature Splurge or Steal runway events this fall. They were fabulous, and we were so excited to collaborate with one of Peachy’s favorite stores. One look in each category of our holiday style section is from our Charlotte runway event. So whether you are enjoying an evening by a cozy fire or dancing the night away at a holiday soiree, you are sure to find a look or two that is a must.
I hope your holidays are filled with love, peace and joy mixed in with lots of laughter!
Cheers,
