The Fall 2019 issue features captivating Cape Cod. A quintessential summer destination, fall at the Cape is just as magical. Get insider tips for exploring Cape Cod, tour a beautifully designed Chatham home, tempt your taste buds with delicious autumn salads.
My husband and I lived in Boston while he was getting his graduate degree. We didn’t have kids yet, so on the weekends we explored the city and the surrounding areas. I remember driving out to Cape Cod and thinking how beautiful everything was. I was so surprised to see hydrangeas by the ocean. Growing up in Texas, it was palm trees and bougainvillea along the Gulf of Mexico. Cape Cod is filled with beautiful historic architecture and cute little towns. I still am amazed by the stunning gardens that burst into bloom when the weather gets warm.
City Guide
We have a wonderful fall issue. Part-time residents of Cape Cod, Whitney Ward and Tracy Dart (along with Tracy’s sister Christi Pringle, a frequent visitor), share their expert selections on what to do while you are visiting. They have some great recommendations on where to eat, stay, shop, and play on the Cape.
Food + Entertaining
For a great autumn menu, turn to our entertaining editor, Tamberlyn Dobrowski, who serves up the most delicious fall salads. I especially love the “Super Green Sun-Dried Tomato Herb Salad with Crispy Chickpeas.” It’s healthy and perfect for fall!
Interiors + Travel
Contributing editor Bek Mitchell-Kidd shares a beautifully renovated waterfront home on the Cape with views to die for. She also spotlights a stunning resort, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club, which is located on the “elbow” of Cape Cod and features panoramic vistas of Pleasant Bay and hydrangeas galore.
Beauty
For any special fall events coming up, consider the services of a professional makeup artist. Lesley Downey, our beauty editor, interviews three different makeup artists who can help you make the most of a big occasion.
