Course: SnacksServings
6 – 8
servingsIngredients
2 cups granulated sugar
1 bag fresh cranberries
1 cup superfine or powdered sugar
2 cups water
Directions
- Dissolve the granulated sugar in water over low heat in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer; remove from heat. (Don’t boil—you do not want the cranberries to pop.) Stir in cranberries; pour mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for 8 hours.
- Drain cranberries. Fill a container or bowl with the powdered sugar and coat the berries by rolling them around in the container. Then spread them out on wax paper to dry (about 1–2 hours). Keep in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to a week.
