Put Down Those Scissors!

WRITTEN BY Tammy Dalton, Modern Salon & Spa
PHOTOGRAPHY BY Jenni Council

After experiencing months of gray clouds and cold weather, we are desperate for spring—and something new. Each year around this time, women who sit in my chair are uttering familiar phrases: “I’m bored.” “I feel blah.” “Let’s cut off all my hair!”

Read the full post to learn how to get those gorgeous bouncy curls!

hair01Ok, ladies. Let’s take a deep breath and analyze what’s going on here. The winter blues have clouded your judgment. And let’s not fail to mention that you have been styling your hair the same way for 10 years! Of course you’re bored! Just because the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence can pull off a short coif doesn’t mean we should get scissor-happy!

Before taking the huge dive into “pixie” land, let’s try playing with some new tools to tame that boredom. I just discovered Paul Mitchell’s new hot rollers called Neuro™ Cell. Yes, you heard me correctly, and, no, these are not your mama’s hot rollers. My go-to hair tool from the ’90s is back and it’s better than ever!

There are so many reasons to recommend these hot rollers. You heat up one roller at a time and it takes hair_neurocelleight seconds per roller. This makes the design compact so that it stores and travels easily. The different settings-fine, medium and coarse—help protect against overheating your hair. My favorite part of the Neuro™ Cell is its technology, which allows you to tame frizz and create smooth curls!

So before overloading on Pinterest’s short hair cuts, try a new tool and have fun burying those winter blues!

Get the look…

STEP ONE
