A Warm Welcome to Cake For Dinner

As many of you know given our namesake, family is everything at Peachy. So, we get all kinds of excited when we welcome a new partner.

We’ve had our eye on Cake For Dinner (CFD) for a while – anyone with a teenager knows how hard it can be to find just the right fit style-wise for the age group.

Well, sound the trumpets because Cake For Dinner is here to save the day, aiming to empower young women to be fearless and fashionable with pieces that express both confidence and individuality.

Chambless Kalka, Founder and CEO was inspired by her daughter and her own frustration of trying to find tasteful clothing that her teenage daughter would actually want to wear.

At the forefront of the design is a consciousness of the clients’ journey who are navigating from girls to teens to young adults; the range is multi-faceted and heavily influenced by the team’s Atlanta roots.

“I realized after talking to countless other parents of tween and teen girls that I wasn’t alone. Working with our fabulous team of young women, we design our styles using the girls’ guidance and input every step of the way,” said Chambless.

Having worked with labels in New York and Atlanta, CFD Creative Director, Mallory Atkins, is at the helm of bringing the pieces to life and focuses on color, trends, and uniqueness, and partnering with artists to produce one-of-a-kind prints and style.

As a women-owned and operated business we were also big fans of Cake For Dinner’s entrepreneurial spirit. Chambless and Mallory use the business as an opportunity to mentor girls and women interested in fashion and business.

“Our hope is that by inspiring young women to guide the design and essentially create their perfect pieces, other young women would also love the styles and want to wear them. The launch of our first collection proved that we were on to something, we can’t wait to introduce our collection to the Peachy audience,” said Chambless.
