Designer Spotlight with Daniel Gonzalez Designs

WRITTEN BY Delia McMullen

As Charlotte’s Daniel Gonzalez Designs (DG Designs) prepares to launch its summer 2021 collection, a collaboration with Peachy was forged to spotlight DG Designs’ line and as a nod to Peachy’s timeless style. The newest collection by DG Designs, a women’s luxury clothing brand, includes effortless pieces, electrifying colors, and exquisite tailoring.

“I’m inspired by strong, fearless women, whose fashion is a statement of who they are: passionate, independent, and luxurious,” says Daniel Gonzalez, founder of DG Designs. Daniel’s philosophy dovetails with Peachy’s inspiration, sparked by Publisher Blair Farris’ beloved grandmother, Peachy, who was strong, fearless, and oh-so-fashionable.

Featuring an array of garments, including pants, jumpsuits, flowy and structured blouses, and dresses in bold colors, the collection offers custom tailoring for women of all shapes and sizes. The summer collection is the second installment by DG Designs after a successful debut of the brand’s fall/spring collection last year. All garments are designed locally and constructed at the Charlotte facility.

A signature feature of DG Designs is the use of high-end fabric selections, predominantly organic silks. From lightweight silks to heavier fabrics that achieve a breathable and flattering silhouette, each piece is created with wearability, functionality, and quality in mind. “My passion for culture, nature, and the art of movement inspires my designs, and the summer collection is a reflection and expansion of those passions,” explains Daniel.

The collection’s 100% silk garments are perfect for any event, from special occasions and board meetings to weddings and black-tie galas. DG Designs’ pieces inspire confidence, femininity, and freedom for the woman who takes pride in building a timeless wardrobe. “Life is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest extent, and our selection of vibrant colors for the summer collection defines living fearlessly and feeling empowered,” says Gonzalez.

DG Designs has created a custom silk top, a custom structured sundress, and custom high-waisted shorts as part of the Peachy Capsule Collection. These exclusive pieces are inspired and created to capture summer simplicity and effortless ease, while never sacrificing a sense of style. The fabrics have the perfect weight and durability to handle the heat of summer with a texture and softness that makes them luxurious. The colors invoke the feeling of being at the beach and enjoying the warming rays of the sun.
