The Eating Establishment
A local favorite since 1972, “The Double E” is ideally situated at the top of historic Old Town Park City. It’s family friendly but don’t be surprised to see celebrities and pro athletes sitting at the next table. Rachael Ray featured “The Double E” on her show. Best for breakfast, we love the famous “Hungry Miner skillet dish.” Open every day, all day.

The Farm
Those seeking fresh, organic, locally grown dining need look no farther than The Farm. Located at Park City Mountain Resort, The Farm was recently named Utah’s best new restaurant by Salt Lake Magazine. From the gluten-free fried half chicken to pastrami venison, dinner here is a delight. It has an exciting wine list as well. Reservations can be difficult to come by during peak season so plan accordingly.

Visitors to Park City who have some extra time should definitely take the 45-minute drive to Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort. Sundance Resort is a magical four-season resort for all ages.

Stay: Park City Hotels
As a four-season, world-class resort town, it stands to reason that Park City is home to every type of accommodation to suit every type of guest. From intimate bed-and-breakfast inns to five-star luxury hotels, modest chain motels to mountainside ski chalets, the options are endless. Here are three of our favorites.
Stein Eriksen Lodge
Park City is home to some of the world’s finest hotels, including a St. Regis, a Waldorf and a Montage (see below). But perhaps the most iconic place you could choose to stay is Stein Eriksen Lodge at Deer Valley. Named for the Norwegian Olympian and World Champion ski racer, the Lodge is Utah’s only five-star hotel, and deservedly so. The rooms are lovely, the views are divine, the food is amazing and, yes, the setting is out of this world. Best of all: This hotel, which has hosted countless heads of state and celebrities, exudes a welcoming charm all its own. Locals flock for the Sunday brunch, and Stein, himself, is often seen dining at one of the restaurants.

Montage Deer Valley
Imagine a ski-in/ski-out property in the heart of Deer Valley resort. Now add a grand ballroom, luxury guest rooms and suites, a world-class spa, award-winning dining and an unrivaled concierge team. A terrific spot for a wedding or corporate retreat, the Montage is also wonderful for families. It features nightly s’mores by the bonfire for kids as well as Daly’s pub where you can relax over a delicious meal while your kids enjoy a private bowling alley, pool and games.

Washington School House
We doubt the teachers who taught at Park City’s Washington School in 1889 would recognize this new luxury hotel, but we have no doubt they would be amazed by its beauty, sophistication and style. Washington School House is set in Historic Park City, the perfect spot to explore “old town” on foot or hit the slopes just a stone’s throw away. Alternatively, stay indoors and take in the luxury of a gorgeous interior, gourmet breakfast and a highly attentive staff. With only 12 rooms and suites available, make your reservations as far in advance as possible.

There also is a fine selection from local designers. Its location on lower Historic Main Street can’t be beat. Dolly’s Bookstore/Rocky Mountain Chocolate
No visit to Park City would be complete without a stop at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and its sister business, Dolly’s Bookstore. This locally owned independent bookstore is inviting and cozy. Its attentive staff is ready to help with any request. In addition to the latest in fiction and nonfiction, Dolly’s features a robust children’s section, handcrafted jewelry and gifts, as well as music. You are likely to be greeted by Dolly the Cat or several of her feline friends. Sticky fingers are an unfortunate result of visiting the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which is conveniently located in front of Dolly’s. We dare you to pass by one of their caramel-covered apples.
