Those seeking fresh, organic, locally grown dining need look no farther than The Farm. Located at Park City Mountain Resort, The Farm was recently named Utah’s best new restaurant by Salt Lake Magazine. From the gluten-free fried half chicken to pastrami venison, dinner here is a delight. It has an exciting wine list as well. Reservations can be difficult to come by during peak season so plan accordingly.

High West is Utah’s first distillery. It’s located in a historic renovated livery stable just below the town ski lift. No visit to Park City would be complete without a stop at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and its sister business, Dolly’s Bookstore. This locally owned independent bookstore is inviting and cozy. Its attentive staff is ready to help with any request. In addition to the latest in fiction and nonfiction, Dolly’s features a robust children’s section, handcrafted jewelry and gifts, as well as music. You are likely to be greeted by Dolly the Cat or several of her feline friends. Sticky fingers are an unfortunate result of visiting the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which is conveniently located in front of Dolly’s. Deer Valley (note: no snowboarding allowed)
Utah Olympic Park (photo above) At the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Utah Olympic Park, or UOP as it is commonly known, hosted events in Nordic jumping, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton. The nearly 400-acre Park features a mixture of sporting facilities and visitor areas for an incredible Olympic experience. Athletes train year-round at the facility, which also features the interactive Alf Engen ski museum, guided visitor tours and the Olympic museum. 2014 will mark the debut of women’s ski jumping at the Sochi the favored American team calls the UOP its home. Adventurous visitors 16 years or older, can take a ride of a lifetime as passengers on a guided four-man bobsleigh. The fly down the length of the Olympic track will be breathtaking.
