As the days start to get cooler and summer travel fades, I always feel like fall is a time to slow down and reflect. Last year was a hard one for many reasons, but along with the trials came many blessings. My youngest was in a bad accident less than a year ago and is completely healed. I recently hurt my finger, and when I got my stitches out, he was asking me how it felt. I said there were so many things that could have been a lot worse this year. His response was, “Mom, we are thriving and making lemonade!” Which is completely true—and I’m grateful.

Interiors and Insider Guide
