This master bedroom in Charlotte is one of my absolute favorites. The pattern play and level of interest are endless in this space. We incorporated modern touches like the Kelly Wearstler wallpaper with traditional elements like the grand Schumacher window treatments. This combination—plus the vintage furniture, lighting, and amazing art from Hidell Brooks—made the end result beyond what we could’ve imagined.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Charlotte Lucas Interior Design, founded by Charlotte Harris Lucas in 2012, is frequently featured in publications like Elle Decor, Southern Living, and Garden & Gun, which celebrate the firm’s bold use of color and whimsical detail in residential projects.
Charlotte’s love for design started at an early age, as she learned from her designer mother to appreciate the impact of color, pattern, and detail. Charlotte draws inspiration from her clients and their homes, family heirlooms, and traveling. She loves to go on buying trips for antiques and one-of-a-kind objects, as she is always mindful that minor details can create a major impact. She and her team focus on providing perfectly proportioned rooms and custom designs for each client, resulting in a signature, recognizable style.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Charlotte attended design school at the University of Georgia. In addition to running CLID, she co-owns a wallpaper and fabric line called House of Harris with her sister and fellow designer Liz Carroll.
