EAT
Our favorite stops include Cafe Genevieve for any meal of the day. It is right off the Town Square and such a fun spot. Try their Pig Candy! We also love dropping in Persephone Bakery to grab a quick morning bite or to see friends in Jackson. Finally, we love the deck at Dornans in Moose for a delicious dinner, great drinks and an even better sunset.

STAY
There is nothing more unique than Yellowstone in winter. We love the solitude of it all, and it takes a special person to ski in or take the motor coach all the way in! Imagine seeing Old Faithful blow with just your family around you and maybe a bison or two! Some other great spots are Flat Creek Ranch, where you will find the very best hosts in Trey and Shelby in the most awe-inspiring location with some truly epic fishing. One final spot to consider would be Turpin Meadow Ranch. With the Buffalo River running through it and the Tetons beckoning, there is just nothing as great as this place in the winter or summer!

SHOP
With four kids, we find ourselves in Teton Toys an awful lot, and they bring a lot of fun to our Town Square. But we also love to shop at Stio to get the best outdoor clothing in town, and Belle Cose to get that perfect gift for someone. Tom really loves spending time in Teton Knifeworks or in JD High Country Outfitters—always shopping for the next adventure!

We love to hunt, fish and forage! So you will find us always looking for our next great meal in the wilds of Wyoming. We go bird hunting near some of our great rivers, fishing all around the valley and then hunting in the fall. Tom loves to hunt with Wolverine Creek Outfitters for the big game, and he enjoys fishing with WorldCast Anglers when hitting the rivers. In the spring and summer, you can find Catherine searching for mushrooms, berries and other edibles, as she loves to pair local wild food with food from her garden. Our favorite trails are anything along Teton Pass for fun during all seasons.

Melissa and Corky Crozier
Melissa is a seventh generation Texan living in Baltimore, Maryland. Born and raised in Houston, she attended college in Virginia and moved to Atlanta after graduation, where she met her husband, Corky. After working and living in several major cities from Boston to San Francisco, they settled in Baltimore with their two children. Corky, an avid golfer and fly fisherman, has been taking the family out West for the past decade. They finally purchased a home in Jackson Hole in 2012. It is now one of their favorite places on earth!
EAT
There are so many phenomenal restaurants in Jackson that it is difficult to choose—seriously!
Local Restaurant & Bar
Located on Town Square, the bar at the Local is one of my favorite places to sit and eat. Always vibrant and fun atmosphere, filled with wonderful local people. My husband absolutely loves the Chef’s Burger. Great, friendly bartenders who pour awesome “house” cocktails!

Persephone Bakery
One of the cutest bakeries you will ever see! Inside atmosphere is adorable, while outside seating feels a bit like Nantucket. This is the perfect spot for morning coffee, reading the paper and relaxing before a day filled with activities! The French toast with Bourbon barrel aged maple syrup is “to die for,” yet everything on the menu is spectacular!

Rendezvous Bistro
This is one of the first restaurants we ever tried in Jackson. Had been highly recommended by one of my “foodie” friends, and still remains my “go to favorite” of all places. Guess you could consider it more “upscale” dining, yet everything in Jackson is pretty relaxed. I love the tuna tartare appetizer, while the half roasted chicken and Bistro meatloaf are wonderful too. You can’t go wrong with their steak frites!

Merry Piglets
Think I just love the name alone! Sounds like such a happy place and it is. It’s certainly hard to beat Tex Mex food, but this place delivers. Great chips, salsa (very important) and enchiladas. There is usually a little bit of a wait, but it’s located right in town, so you can walk around the square and browse or sit and enjoy their fabulous margaritas!

A little remote but luxurious place to stay. We love to take friends over just for the scenery. It’s fun to sit on lounge chairs at the pool, have a cocktail and enjoy the commanding views of the Tetons.

Needless to say, Jackson is the ultimate playground for all. So much to do—you need to stay a month!
White Water Rafting
There are lots of rafting companies, and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. But if you want a little less “white knuckle” experience, we love to take friends on a scenic float trip. This is far more relaxing, plus you get a chance to stay on the river longer and enjoy the spectacular scenery—your chance to see bald eagles, beavers, moose and other sorts of wildlife. Barker-Ewing is a great company since they have access to the “Deadman’s Bar to Moose” stretch of the Snake River. Your trip will end right at Moose where Dornans is located. This is a great place to grab a bottle of wine at the wine shop and head to the upper deck at Dornans, where you can enjoy pizza while overlooking the Snake River and Tetons.

Hiking
Many great hiking trails. Jenny Lake seems to be one of the most popular, but we love Phelps Lake just as much (it’s not nearly as crowded). Phelps offers a moderate hike around a beautiful lake. There is also a 40-foot boulder that you can jump off into the lake—sounds scary, but truly fun and exhilarating for both kids and adults. The Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve Center, located right at Phelps Lake, allows you to peruse wonderful books about the area and watch a lovely interactive slide show of all the incredible wildlife of Wyoming. Plan to get there early since the parking lot fills fast in summer.

Biking
Riding bikes is a favorite of mine. Hoback Sports has all kids of rentals. There are so many paths and trails to choose from that it is just a matter of preference…whether you want a rugged mountain ride or simple bike path. We love to ride bikes all the way from town to Teton Village. There are plenty of places to stop along the way, especially the newly built bridge over the Snake River. Spectacular views!

Fishing
My husband, the “go to” person in this category, recommends Snake River Angler in town. They can arrange anglers to take you on a “float” trip down the Snake or Green Rivers or will escort you into Yellowstone Park. They can guide you to the monster fish!

ATVs
Although the word “ATV” sounds dangerous to me, this is one of the most fun activities we have done in Jackson Hole. We rented “side by sides” which can accommodate up to four people. This is a fantastic way to explore the backcountry! Rent from Jackson Hole Adventure Rentals. They are so nice and provide all kinds of trail maps.
