Beauty Report: Favorites for Fall

WRITTEN BY Lesley Holland Downey

What I’m loving for fall is anything that either makes my life a little easier (dual-ended products) or that is a super exciting collab or innovation. My edit this fall has all of the above—from the Peachy fashion fave Ulla Johnson to the Valentino double-ended liner.

Ulla Johnson x Bobbi Brown
The Peachy style staff loves Ulla Johnson, so naturally I was excited about their collab with Bobbi Brown featuring gorgeous, sheer products for lips, eyes, and highlighting.

Chanel Stylo Ombré Et Contour Eyeshadow Liner
Super blendable formula enables you to both line (sharpener included in the end of the pencil) and shadow….goof-proof to use and wears all day.

Chantecaille Luminescent Eye Shades in Leopard and Tiger
If you aren’t a multistep eye makeup gal, look for a beautiful “one and done” shadow like Chantecaille’s multi-dimensional taupey-neutral in Cheetah. If you are willing to use two shadows, line your eyes with a contrasting color like Tiger.

Valentino Twin Liner Gel and Liquid Eyeliner
Another multitasking product from fashion house Valentino keeps the makeup bag tidy with this dual formula glamorous little liquid/pencil combo.

LoveSeen Lashes
Love the look of lash extensions but don’t want the hassle? Fashion icon Jenna Lyons’ LoveSeen lashes are designed to be worn any time— these soft, barely-there styles are subtle enough for daytime.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer
It’s almost impossible to find a high-coverage concealer that smooths over fine lines and doesn’t make you look older — until now. Lightweight, hydrating, and pigmented for use anywhere you need coverage.

Dr. Lara Devgan Platinum Long Lash and Lip Plump
Dr. Lara Devgan, a top NYC plastic surgeon, has created products that are just as obsession worthy as her Instagram account. Her lash serum and lip plumper caught my eye.

Trish McEvoy Magnetic Refillable Double Decker Compact
Ever wanted to create your own palette with only the things you love? Since most pressed formulations come in metal pans, you can create your own perfect mixture.

Victoria Beckham by Augustinus Bader The Healthy Skin Set
Stem cell innovation in a serum and priming moisturizer — calms redness and inflammation while increasing hydration and elasticity.

AlphaRet Exfoliating Peel Pads from SkinBetter
As pandemic reality continues to change our everyday lives, it might be time to stock up on some at-home treatments to address summer sun damage. These pads contain three gentle acids to address texture, uneven skin tone, and fine lines. (This product is only available through your doctor’s office or med spa.)

Oribe Run-Through Detangling Shampoo
A new formula from luxury hair care giant Oribe promises to address those stubborn snarls and leave textured, coarse, or fine hair looking great.
