As the summer comes to an end, I’m tweaking my beauty routine to include a much-needed reset on maintenance that I’ve grown quite lazy about. From a plant-based skincare routine to fresh but simple makeup, I’m game for the change. Addressing damaged nails and hair at home with salon-quality treatments gives you freedom from the maintenance cycle. Here are a few items I’m loving this fall.
Savannah-based Sapelo Skin Care’s 3-Step Skin Recovery System Special with Restoring Eye Serum taps into the body’s natural healing response to promote rejuvenation and hydration to the complexion. The super luxurious face and eye serums and silky rich rejuvenating cream are like a good night’s sleep and a tall drink of water for your face.
This heavenly smelling CYKLAR Vanilla Verve Sensorial Body Wash used with a super exfoliating sponge, like the Bellanomi African Exfoliating Net Sponge, does the trick to help buff away dry and dull skin.
Celebrity makeup wiz Mary Phillips’ Underpainting Face Highlight & Contour Palette helps us achieve her signature underpainting technique which is like shapewear for your face—it lifts, sculpts and defines features with a natural finish.
I recently started to re-think my addiction to the nail salon—with damaged and peeling nails, I switched to the Manucurist Green Flash Pro Routine Set—free of all the harmful ingredients that wreck your nails in the first place.
By September, my hair needs rehab to address sun, salt and chlorine damage from warm weather fun. Enter Kérastase Première Repairing Pre-Shampoo Treatment for Damaged Hair which smooths, increases shine and restores hair health.
I recently picked up a Crown Affair The Dual-Bristle Boar Hair Brush No. 001 for All Hair Textures and it feels both amazing on the scalp and gentle on strands—its bristles help distribute natural oils for added shine.
I am loving all the multi-use products available now like Chanel’s N°1 de Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm. Dabbed on cheeks and lips, it simplifies your makeup routine.
Violette_FR has created the perfect lip stain. Lip Nectar Hydrating Lip Stain starts as a gloss and then fades into a lasting tint for the best of both worlds.
The Original Makeup Eraser, the gold-standard face cleansing cloth, has created Cooling Clouds, reusable undereye patches that are water-activated to refresh tired eyes—no refrigeration or single-use plastics involved. These adorable cloud-shaped patches use a textile similar to wicking athletic wear.
