2 ounces bourbon
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla syrup (see note)
2–3 dashes chocolate bitters
Directions
- Stir all ingredients with ice in a rocks glass and garnish with an expressed orange twist.
Notes
- Cocktail from Idlewild
- Vanilla Syrup: Combine 1 part sugar with 1 part hot water, split a vanilla bean open and leave it in the same container as your syrup. Shake well and let sit overnight. Do not strain. Option: Purchase vanilla syrup online as vanilla beans tend to be expensive.
