EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY BY Ben Rose
When I was a little girl, I was fascinated by the cosmetics aisle at my local Roses store. I could stand for what seemed like hours, mesmerized by the products and delighted by the luscious colors and packaging. Fast forward a few years, and this is still exactly how I feel at a beauty counter—and no one does the beauty mecca experience better than Neiman Marcus. Peachy recently hosted an event with NM Atlanta showcasing some of the best trends and products for spring. You’ll find some of my favorites below.
Tom Ford Lip Color
Yes, the price is outrageous, but there is nothing more luxurious than sneaking this glamorous tube out of your bag to brighten your winter-weary face. I love Spanish Pink, Indian Rose and Blush Nude for every day—and Flamingo for a statement color.
Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Cheeks
These handy compacts give you two colors to add both color and depth to your cheeks in a creamy formula that glides on easily.
Chanel High-Def Lip
Like Tom Ford, Chanel is one of those iconic brands whose products give you an instant dose of glamour. One new trend from Chanel is to layer brighter colors for a “high def” effect—using different textures to create a dimensional look. Try Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur in Rouge or Corail topped with Rouge Coco Gloss in Nectar.
La Mer The Lip Balm
One of my favorite makeup artists, Lisa Eldridge, swears by this lip balm. It is ridiculously priced, but I am in love with the texture and performance of this product. It whipped my flaky lips into shape with one application.
Jo Malone London
With all the peekaboo and off the shoulder trends still strong for spring, a new fragrance may be in order. Jo Malone’s line of divine smelling fragrances allow you to customize and layer to your heart’s content. This adorable set is priced right for you to dabble in making your own signature perfume cocktail.
La Mer and Kiehl’s
As winter ends, you need to ramp up your moisturizer game. Hydrated skin looks younger, period. Switch to something rich and creamy to keep your skin dewy. I love La Mer’s cream as the gold standard—and there are now four variations to suit different skin types. My dry skin loves their classic moisturizing cream but if that’s not in your budget, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream is easy on the wallet and it delivers real results.
