When we renovated this home, we decided on two primary bathrooms—this one is for the lady of the house. She wanted it to be sophisticated but also feminine, bright, and airy.

This was a showroom from the IDS Showhouse in Davidson, NC. Anne collaborated with the homeowners to create the perfect space for them. “I wanted to truly reflect a modern manor family room that has elegance, warmth, and flow so that it would be a gathering point for conversation, reading, games, and maybe an apéritif,” says Anne.

Heather Smith
CIRCA’s Heather Smith shares with us a glimpse into one of her favorite design projects, along with how this dining room, lounge and entry was inspired and came together to provide creative possibilities.
This was one of our favorite projects because the client is such a creative, talented, and trusting woman. A concert pianist and professional chef, she really gets into entertaining. Whether it be a small gathering of friends or the whole family, she thinks a lot about the occasion and the ambiance. Our goal was to create thoughtful, flexible spaces that would provide creative possibilities for any setting.

My dining room brings my love of the world to my home with the custom-designed Paul Montgomery wall panels. It defines my wanderlust and desire to be in exotic, faraway places. The magical mix of flora and fauna that would never be found together in nature delights me.

Beth Conant-Keim
Lucy and Company’s Beth Conant-Keim shares with us a glimpse into her favorite room design, along with how this family room was inspired and came together with a calming mixture of materials.
A mixture of materials was the name of the game in this space. Soft textures, easy fabrics, and relaxed pieces were all incorporated.
Susan Keesler
Susan Keesler shares with us a glimpse into her favorite room design, along with how this family room was inspired and came together with beautiful springtime shades.
This room sings “springtime”with shades of blue, muted pinks, pops of green, and lots of sunshine. I love when a room tells a story.
Traci Zeller
Traci Zeller shares with us a glimpse into her favorite room design, along with how this classic chic “garden room” was inspired and came together.
This “garden room” belongs to a home in the historic downtown district of Charleston, SC. The room served as the carriage house’s original kitchen, and vestiges of those humble beginnings (like the exposed brick wall and the perfectly imperfect beams) still show. Although the room is no longer a kitchen, knowing it once was made me want to turn this into a “heart of the home” casual gathering space, just as our kitchens are today.
